NSC construction progress as of January 21, 2016

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works are being performed:

- Removal of snow and ice from the Arch assembly site;
- Delivery of structural steelwork to the site;
- Repair and maintenance of equipment and installations;
- Preparation of secondary and tertiary structural steelwork of the Arch Western part for erection;
- Installation of the Main Cranes System:
* Delivery of MCS components to the site;
* Reassembly of the East bridge (structural);
* Reassembly of the Mobile Tool Platform (electrical part);
* Mounting of MCS crane runways (preparation, adjustment and mounting).

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:
* Technological building (TEC) – installation of partitions out of gas block;
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) – installation of cable supports and cable trays;
* Fire Subdivision Access Lock (FSAL) – removal of snow, arrangement of traffic routes;
* Firewater pumping station (FWR) – reinforcement of walls of the building;

- Arrangement of external and internal space of the NSC:
* Storm water catching basins;
* Outdoor underground utility systems.

- delivery of metal structures the site;
- repair and maintenance of equipment;
- preparation for installation of secondary and tertiary metal structures of West half of the Arch;

* delivery of containers with East bridge components to the Free Access Zone.

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:
* Technological Building - snow removal, arrangement of personnel routes;

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works are being performed:
-Pre-assembly and installation of West End Wall gangways;
-Erection of North Ventilation Centre structural steel;
-Installation of doors in the access ways;
-Installation of automatic jacks of TP-2 tilting panel;
-Completing and erection of cladding purlins;
-Pre-assembly and erection of steel decking packages for cladding, as well as laying of heat insulating material, installation of EPDM membrane and Kalzip panels;
-Assembly of scaffolding and preparation of air ducts for installation, installation of air ducts of the Arch ventilation system;

-Installation of cable conduits for MCS power supply;
-Installation of the Main Cranes System:
* Reassembly of the Mobile Tool Platform.
* Delivery of containers with East bridge components to the Free Access Zone

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:
Technological building (TEC) – walling, roofing (installation of fittings, formwork, concreting, concrete curing);
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) – priming, spackling and painting of walls, floors and ceilings, installation of roof heat insulation, installation of staircases;
* Fire Subdivision Access Lock (FSAL) – installation of reinforcement cage and formwork of walls fragments;
* Firewater pumping station (FWR) – installation of fittings and formwork for walling;
* Excavation of pit for diesel generator tanks.

- Arrangement of external and internal space of the NSC:
* Outdoor underground utility systems (installation of cable, water supply, sewage systems).

Erection of structural steel of Western half of the Arch:
Erected in total – 15,178.54 tons

Erection of structural steel of Eastern half of the Arch:
Erected in total – 14,150.9 tons.

During the period from 23.12.2015 to 10.01.2015 construction activities will not be performed.

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works were carried out:
-Pre-assembly and installation of West End Wall gangways;

* Preparatory works for the West bridge moving to the parking place have been completed;
* December 16, 2015, in the afternoon, moving of the MCS West bridge to the waiting area was performed. The Contractor has commenced the delivery of the East bridge components to the Arch assembly area.

- Arrangement of external and internal space of the NSC:
* Outdoor underground utility systems (installation of power supply, water supply, sewage systems).

Erection of structural steel of Western half of the Arch:
Erected in total – 15,178.54 tons

Erection of structural steel of Eastern half of the Arch:
Erected in total – 14,150.9 tons.

ISF-2 construction progress as of December 17, 2016

During the first half of December at ISF-2 construction site the following works were carried out:

Spent Fuel Processing Facility (SFPF):
- Startup finishing operations (plastering) in premises at elevation +21.300;
- Installation of external fire ladders;
- Cladding of rooms 111А, 111В, 305;
- Installation of transformers in electrical rooms;
- Installation of embedded parts of penetrations in ISFPS room 501 – 50 of 57 parts were installed and embedded in concrete;
- Air ducts installation of CCA ventilation system (intake and exhaust) of non-attended and periodically attended CAVS-S-1 rooms at elev. +0.000;
- Major repair of external fire stairway P2, except the upper stairway;
- Installation of hot water supply system equipment in room 133 was completed;
- Installation of lightning protection;
- Facades installation works.

Gate house (GH):
- Repair and finishing of premises;
- Installation of air-handling unit was completed.

Physical Protection System (PPS):
- Arrangement of security patrol route –foundation, slabs placement;
- Restoration of fences (installation of new posts) of PPS perimeter.

Installation of equipment (pumps, filters) of the sewage treatment facility.

Installation of cable structures in pits and installation of grounding.

The general Сontractor of the project is Holtec Company. Works at the site are performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, Promkomplekt, UTEM-Kranservis, Konditsioner. 244 people at the total were engaged in work performance. 11 units of excavation and lifting equipment were also used for implementing tasks at the site.
