In late March and early April at ISF-2 construction site the following works were carried out:

Spent Fuel Processing Facility (SFPF):

- Air ducts installation of CCA ventilation system (intake) of non-attended and periodically attended CAVS-S-1 rooms at elev. +17.000;

- Air ducts installation of CCA ventilation system (exhaust) of non-attended and periodically attended CAVS-E-1 rooms at elev. +17.000;

- Installation of main cable routes structures at elev. +11.700 of rooms 502, 504;

- Installation of cable routes structures at elev. +5.600 of rooms 303, 304;

- Installation of lighting system at elev. +5.600;

- Installation of lighting system at elev. +11.700;

- Installation of lighting system at elev. +0.000;

- Installation of the cooling system pipelines;

- SFPS facades installation works, i.e. plinth installation;

- Finishing of the premises;

- Installation of LRW treatment system equipment – corrective actions on drainage water tanks installation in rooms -103, -104;

- Installation of pipelines for LRW treatment system special drainage;

- Installation of compressed air system pipelines;

- Installation of chemically demineralized water system pipelines.

CSM:

- Installation of parts of pos. 5 and pos. 6; 

- Installation of cable routes structures.

Gate house:

- Electric installation works.

Additional works:

- Laying of crushed stone base in PPS protected zone; 

- Placement of security patrol route slabs; 

- ISF site improvement works; 

- Construction of Road 3.

The general Сontractor of the project is Holtec Company. Works at the site are performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, Kranservis, Konditsioner. 256 people at the total were engaged in work performance. 12 units of earth-moving machinery, lorry, and lifting machines were also used for implementing tasks at the site.

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works are being performed:

 - Delivery of structural steelwork to the site;
- Installation of Northern garage floor grating (tertiary structures);
- Installation of special doors of the Arch;
- Pre-assembly of modules, and elevator shaft construction;
- Installation of TP-5.1 tilting panel automatic jacks;
- Installation of purlins of internal and external cladding;
- Installation of external and internal cladding. Overall progress is 86%;
- Ventilation system (preparation of air ducts for installation, installation of air ducts, supports and scaffolding, preparation of NVC for vent systems installation, and connection with air ducts). Overall progress is 81%;

- Main Crane System (MCS) installation:
* Lifting of the East Bridge was completed (01/04/2016);
* The Contractor carries out works on transferring the load from the lifting system to the main building;
* Installation of cable supports and cable channels inside the Arch Maintenance garage.

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:
* Technological building (TEC) – walling, roofing (reinforcement, formwork, concreting). Overall progress (construction) – 82%;
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) – installation of cable supports, cable trays and transformers, cable layout and installation of termination in sections and transformer chambers. Overall progress (construction) – 93%;
* Fire Subdivision Access Lock (FSAL) – walling (priming, spackling and painting of walls, floors and ceilings, installation of roof heat insulation). Overall progress (construction) – 88%;
* Firewater pumping station (FWR) – installation of slabs (installation of scaffolding and formwork) – 62%;
* Central control room – walling (reinforcement, formwork, concreting);
* Diesel power station area (concreting of the foundation slab).

- Arrangement of external and internal space of the NSC:
* Outdoor cable routes;
* Outdoor, underground utility systems;
* Storm water catching basin;
* Arch End walls (south-east);
* Pot-bearing gallery walls;
* Extension of Restricted Access Zone;
* Construction of roads in Local zone.

Erection of Arch western part structural steelwork:
Erected in total – 15,477 tons

Erection of Arch eastern part structural steelwork:
Erected in total – 14,174.91 tons

* Lifting of the East bridge 300 mm up (30 March 2016);
* Jacking activities continued on 31 March 2016.

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:
* Technological building (TEC) – walling, roofing (reinforcement, formwork, concreting). Overall progress (construction) – 82%;
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) – installation of cable supports, cable trays, and transformers, cable layout and installation of termination in sections and transformer chambers. Overall progress (construction) – 93%;

* Lowering of jacking beams for the following East bridge jacking;
* Installation of cable supports and cable ducts inside the Arch Maintenance garage. Cable routing from NVC to the maintenance garage.
