Spent Fuel Processing Facility (SFPF):
- Maintenance and cleanup of the construction site, cleaning and keeping of workplaces in accordance with the labour protection requirements.
- Development of work execution plans (flow sheets) for installation of equipment and systems.
- Installation of Technological Process Monitoring and Control System (TP MCS) cabinets.
- Mounting of cable routing structures within the SFPF building premises.
- Cable routing within the SFPF building premises.
- Installation of lighting system of SFPF building.
- Installation of main process equipment:
* Installation of shielding door SFP SD 210 (prem. 501А/IS102c2).
* Installation of shielding door SFP SD 211 (prem. 307).
* Installation of SFA cutting machine SFP CS 205 into its design position.
* Double lid system SFP CG 210 was installed into its design position (501/111A).
* Gateways of small-sized elements were installed into the design position SFP TD 220/221 (501/504).
- Installation of shielding windows SFP-SW-05; SFP-SW-06 and SFP-SW-07 in prem. 501.
- Installation of control cabinets for ventilation system fire protection valves.
- Installation of internal protective grounding of SFPF building.
- Stands for video cameras were installed along the PPS perimeter.
The following activities were also performed at the facility:
- Installation of supports for video cameras at the SFPF building.
- Installation of PPS security gate near the CSM — the gate leaf was installed into its design position.
- Earth works on construction of foundations for the PPS lightning protection stands.
- Completing of as-built documents and deliverables for handing-over the relevant stages in accordance with the Contract.
- Development of testing programs for process units and systems and training programs for the Client’s personnel.
- Individual tests of main equipment – lifting device for fuel tubes (FT).
The General Contractor of the project is Holtec. Works at the site are performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, “Kranservis”, “Konditsioner”. In total 198 persons were engaged in the works, as well as 6 units of lorry-loading, earth-moving and lifting machines.
