ISF-2 construction progress as of August 18, 2016

During the first half of August 18, 2016 at ISF-2 construction site the following works were carried out:

Spent Fuel Processing Facility (SFPF):
- Development of work execution plans (flow diagrams) for installation of equipment and systems;
- Mounting of cable routing structures within SFPF building premises;
- Cable routing within SFPF building premises;
- Installation of SFPF building lighting system;
- Installation of self-leveling floors in SFPF premises;
- Laying of active drainage pipes of LRW system;
- Pipe laying of RAW level monitoring tanks;
- Installation of gates MIS-LD-04 in premise 114/119 of SFPF building;
- Installation of gates MIS-LD-0 in premise 107 of SFPF building;
- Installation of doors Tornado in SFPF building;
- Installation of pipelines (pipework) for compressors of compressed air system;
- Corrosion protection and pipe covering of cold supply system;
- Installation of equipment for ventilation systems;
- Installation of main process equipment – welding works on lifting device for SFP-TD-211S;
- Electrical fitting works relating to DPP (cabinet wiring, power cabling).

Concrete storage modules (CSM):
- Installation of imbedded items for CSM temperature monitoring.

The following activities were also performed at the facility:
- Twisted pair cabling from transducer locations to physical protection system (PPS) cabinets;
- Routing of optic cable along the perimeter of PPS;
- Reinstallation of PPS security gates – construction of new foundations from the direction of Gate House;
- Development of testing programs for process units and systems.

The general Сontractor of the project is Holtec Company. Works at the site are being performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, Kranservis, Konditsioner. 179 people at the total were engaged in work performance.  6 units of earth-moving machinery, lorry, and lifting machines were used for implementing tasks at the site.
