On June 28, 2024, a delegation from the Embassy of the Czech Republic visited the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, including the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant site, which has long captured the global community’s attention due to its history and environmental challenges.
The primary purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the operations of the facility and to gather information about the region, which was under the control of Russian occupation forces. As part of the visit program, the Czech delegation toured several key locations, each of significant historical and scientific importance.
This visit is important not only for gaining a thorough understanding of the current state of the Chornobyl zone but also for assessing the impact of military activities on its territory.
The visit highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the aftermath of past disasters and preventing future challenges. It also marks a step forward in strengthening international relations and cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
