Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko visited SSE “Chornobyl NPP” site on 12th of May.

During this visit, the Ministers solemnly awarded personnel of The Armed Forces of Ukraine, The National Guard of Ukraine, border guards and employees of enterprises of the Exclusion Zone.

“Special thanks to our nuclear workers who held this [russian — ed.] invasion. Yes, they were not standing with machine guns, but they did their work and they are also heroes” — noted the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

In addition, the delegation visited the ChNPP industrial site, ISF-2 and the Shelter's Observation Pavilion where Acting Director General Valeriy Seyda briefly described the post-accident status of the Shelter Object (SO) and the following cooperation with international donors in the Shelter Implementation Plan (SIP) to convert the SO into an environmentally safe system.

Oleksii Reznikov also held a meeting with representatives of The National Guard of Ukraine who are serving to guard the facilities of ChNPP.

Now the management and staff of ChNPP are estimating the losses inflicted by the russian army and restoring activities at the ChNPP site.
