On October 30, a round table devoted to “The Shelter Object – Present Challenges” will take place at Chornobyl NPP.
Within the framework of this round table a number of issues will be discussed aimed at the development and implementation of the design for the Shelter unstable building structures dismantling and identification of further steps for the Shelter transformation into an environment-friendly system.
We invite the representatives of state legislative and executive power branches, regulatory authorities, scientists, experts in the field of construction and nuclear power engineering. With regard to the quarantine restrictions imposed in the world due to Covid19 pandemic, it is possible to participate in the round table event both on-line and off-line.
We remind that on August 20, 2021, the SSE Chornobyl NPP obtained the license for processing, storage of radioactive waste that exists and is generated in the course of the Shelter transformation into an environmentally safe system (i.e. operation of the NSC and Shelter complex). This license gives the green light to the further Shelter transformation into an environment-friendly system.
