Spent Fuel Processing Facility (SFPF):

- Mounting of cable routing structures within the SFPF building premises.
- Cable routing within the SFPF building premises.
- Installation of SFPF building lighting system – modification of cable routing at stair flights according to the fire safety requirements.
- Installation of self-leveling floors in premises.
- Installation of main process equipment:
     * Installation of Caisson 501A MIS-CE-213 (welding works).
     * Installation of SWP-TD-222 transport trolley rails into the design position (prem. IS102C6 / 403) was completed. Handed over for concreting.
     * Installation of security door SFP SD 210 (prem. 501А/IS102c2).
- Installation of internal protective grounding of SFPF building.
- Installation of radiation monitoring system — mounting of cable routing and earthquake-resistant supporting brackets for equipment, installation of devices into the SFPF premises.
- Installation of spill-over tanks.
- Preparatory works for installation of forced gas dehydration (FGD) pipelines.

Concrete storage modules (CSM):

- Installation of embedded items for the CSM temperature control was completed.
- Drilling of holes for boroscopes at the CSM modules (drilled 364 out of 464 holes).

The following activities were also performed at the facility:

- Development of work execution plans (process charts) for installation of equipment and systems.
- Construction of foundations for supports of physical protection system (PPS) video cameras was completed.
- Installation of racks (supports) for the PPS video cameras.
- Installation of tube protection blocks along the PPS perimeter.
- Installation of sensors along the PPS perimeter.
- Installation of PPS security gate near the Check Point (ChP).
- Repair of corrosion-resistant coating of PPS gate.
- Installation of portal monitors for dosimetry control system.
- Installation of access control system (turnstile) at the ChP gatehouse.
- Packing up a set of as-built documents and deliverables to deliver the relevant phases in accordance with the Contract.
- Development of testing programs for process units and systems.
- Development of training programs for the Client’s personnel.


The general Contractor of the project is Holtec. Works at the site are being performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, Kranservis, Konditsioner. In total 178 persons were engaged in the works, as well as 4 units of lorry and lifting machines.

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works are being performed:

- delivery of tertiary steel structures to the site;
- mounting of sliding system control module, inspection and assembling of equipment for the Arch sliding;
- Installation of MPFOP anchors of East End wall; 
- installation of sealing anchors at the north-east; 
- installation of special doors of the Arch; 
- installation of protective shielding of North garage and runways;
- installation completion of external and internal cladding. Progress - 99%;
- ventilation system (preparation of air ducts for installation, installation of air ducts, installation of supports and scaffolding, preparation of North Ventilation Center (NVC) for installation of ventilation equipment). Progress - 98%;
- erection of the NSC ventilation stack was completed.

- Main Cranes System (MCS) installation:

* adjustment of crane-runway girders and rails;
* alignment and connection of control panels to the MCS, testing of control systems.

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:

* Technological building (TB) – works relating to polishing, pre-coating, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building, installation of doors, installation of dividing walls from gas blocks, roof sealing. Installation of supports, pipelines, re-bars, internal utilities, systems, metal structures.  Progress (construction part) - 99.6%.
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) – installation of fire alarm system and lighting within the EEB premises. Installation of supports, pipelines, re-bars, internal utilities, systems, metal structures. Mounting of the frame metal structures for the EEB face heat insulation and lining.  
* Fire Units Access Lock – polishing, pre-coating, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building. 
* Fire pump station (FPS) –installation of the southern fire water tank. Arrangement of face heat insulation and lining.

- Arrangement of internal and external space of the NSC:

* Outdoor cable routes;
* Outdoor and underground utility systems;
* Storm water catching basins;
* the Arch end walls;
* Construction of roads in Local zone - 30%.

Installation of radiation monitoring system – drilling of holes for installation of devices, mounting of cable routing and earthquake-resistant supporting brackets for equipment.

The following activities were also performed at the facility:

- Laying of optic cable along the PPS perimeter.
- Construction of foundations for PPS video cameras supports.
- Concreting of joining along guard duty paths.
-  Development of work execution plans (process charts) for installation of equipment and systems.
- Packing up a set of as-built documents and deliverables to deliver the relevant phases in accordance with the Contract.
- Development of testing programs for process units and systems.
- Tests of process units and systems – hydraulic tests of chemically demineralized water system.
- Development of training programs for the Client’s personnel.

The general Contractor of the project is Holtec. Works at the site are being performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, Kranservis, Konditsioner. In total 193 persons were engaged in the works. 4 units of earth-moving machinery, lorry and lifting machines were used for implementing the tasks at the site.

* Technological building (TEC) – works relating to polishing, pre-coating, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building, installation of doors, installation of dividing walls of gas blocks, roof sealing. Progress (construction part) - 98.56%;
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) – installation of fire alarm system within premises, mounting of cable supports and trays, installation of supports and pipes of fire-preventive and drinking water supply;
* Fire Units Access Lock – polishing, pre-coating, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building, installation of doors; installation of network systems inside the building.
* Fire pump station (FPS) – works on pre-coating, coating and painting of walls inside the building, installation of equipment; installation of the northern firewater tank is coming to an end, preparation for installation of the southern tank.

- Arrangement of internal and external space of the NSC:

* Outdoor cable routes;
* Outdoor and underground utility systems;
* Storm water catching basins;
* the Arch end walls;
* Construction of roads in Local zone - 29%.
