Spent Fuel Processing Facility (SFPF):

- Installation of Technological Process Monitoring and Control System (TP MCS) cabinets.
- Mounting of cable routing structures within the SFPF building premises.
- Cable routing within the SFPF building premises.
- Installation of lighting system of SFPF building.
- Installation of supports for lighting and video surveillance systems in “hot cell”, prem. 501.
- Delivery of main process equipment to the installation area – master-slave manipulators, double lid system for handling of 200-l drums, drum transportation systems, suction devices.
- Installation of main process equipment:
     * Installation of shielding door SFP SD 211 (prem. 307).
     * Gateways of small-sized elements SFP TD 220/221 were installed (welding works) into the design position (501/504).
     * Caisson MIS-CE-213 was installed (welding works) in prem. 501.
- Iinstallation of shielding windows SFP-SW-05, SFP-SW-06 and SFP-SW-07 in prem. 501.
- Refurbishment works for the existing equipment:
     * Shielding door SD-04 was painted in prem. 503/501.
     * Preparatory works for Canister Transport Handling System (CHTS).
- Installation of control cabinets for ventilation system fire protection valves.
- Installation of internal protective grounding of SFPF building.
- Installation of video cameras at the building.

The following activities were also performed at the facility:

- Installation of supports for video cameras at the SFPF building.
- Installation of PPS security gate near the CSM — the gate leaf was installed into its design position.
- Works on construction of foundations for the PPS lightning protection stands.
- Soldering of optic cable from ZVSB to Control Panel 1 in the checkpoint prem. 203 and along the PPS perimeter
- Completing of as-built documents and deliverables for handing-over the relevant stages in accordance with the Contract.
- Development of testing programs for process units and systems and training programs for the Client’s personnel.
- Individual tests of FT lifting device SFP-TD-211 were completed.

The General Contractor of the project is Holtec. Works at the site are performed by Holtec subcontractors: CDI, UTEM, UTB, ZEM, EPI, BEM, “Kranservis”, “Konditsioner”. In total 198 persons were engaged in the works, as well as 7 units of lorry-loading, earth-moving and lifting machines.

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works are being performed:

- Main Cranes System (MCS) installation:

* The Contractor completed the adjustment of MCS crane-runway girders;
* The MCS tests were completed in the scope envisaged before the sliding.

- Technological building and auxiliary facilities:

* Technological building (TB) — works relating to polishing, pre-coating, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building. Installation of supports and pipelines for fire water supply. The Contractor is installing doors. Mounting of the frame metal structures for the TB face heat insulation and lining is underway;
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) — installation of fire alarm systems and lighting within the EEB premises. Installation of supports, pipelines, re-bars, internal utilities, systems, metal structures. Mounting of the frame metal structures for the EEB face heat insulation and lining is underway;

- Works on arranging the NSC internal and external space:

* Outdoor cable routes (cable laying);
* Outdoor and underground utility systems (water supply, power supply, sewage system);
* Storm water catching basins;
* The Arch End walls;
* Construction of roads in Local zone — 34%.

- Erection of Arch steelwork:

* Weight of Arch erected steelwork — 30,552.99 t;
* The NSC ventilation stack is erected;
* Passes were installed at the Arch roof;
* Works on the installation of sealing anchors which were scheduled before the sliding are at the stage of completion;
* The Arch sliding works have been commenced on November 14, 2016.

Within the NSC Project at the construction site the following works are being performed:

- Delivery of tertiary steel structures to the site;
- Inspection and assembling of equipment for the Arch sliding;
- Installation of MPFOP anchors of West End wall;

- Installation of special doors of the Arch;
- Installation of protective shielding of North garage and runways;
- Completion of external and internal cladding installation; works on testing the sealing capacity of the cladding. Progress — 99 %;
- Ventilation system (installation of air ducts is at completion stage, installation of ventilation equipment);

* Adjustment of crane-runway girders uipment;
* Testing of MCS (static and dynamic load).

- Arrangement of technological building and auxiliary facilities:

* Technological building (TB) — works relating to polishing, pre-coating, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building, installation of doors, installation of dividing walls from gas blocks, roof sealing. Installation of supports, pipelines, re-bars, internal utilities, systems, metal structures. Installation of the building face. Progress (construction part) — 98.7%;
* Electrical Equipment Building (EEB) — installation of fire alarm system, and lighting system within the EEB premises. Installation of supports, pipelines, re-bars, internal utilities, systems, steel structures. Installation of framed steel structures for the face heat insulation and lining;
* Fire Subdivisions Access Lock (FSAL) — polishing, priming, coating and painting of walls and ceilings inside the building;
* Fire water pumping station (FPS) — heat insulation and lining of the face.

- Arrangement of internal and external space of the NSC:

* Outdoor cable routes;
* Outdoor and underground utility systems;
* Storm water catching basins;
* the Arch End walls;
* Construction of roads in Local zone — 33%.

Erection of Arch western part steelwork:

     * Installation of shielding door SFP SD 211 (prem. 307).
     * Installation of SFA cutting machine SFP CS 205 into its design position.
     * Double lid system SFP CG 210 was installed into its design position (501/111A).
     * Gateways of small-sized elements were installed into the design position SFP TD 220/221 (501/504).
- Installation of shielding windows SFP-SW-05; SFP-SW-06 and SFP-SW-07 in prem. 501.
